New Jersey Facial Liposculpture

Laser Lypolysis or laser-assisted liposculpture, is a newer generation laser procedure ,approved by the FDA on November 13, 2006, which treats cellulite and body fat with heat.  The laser treatment dissolves and liquefies redundant body fat. Laser-assisted liposculpture deals successfully with delicate tissues of the face and problem areas of high fibrous content due to their extremely thin fat layer.  These areas are very difficult to treat by traditional methods.  This method also achieves skin retraction (tightening) that we would not achieve through other procedures.

Facial SmartLipo is a new approach to facial liposuction surgery. Instead of forcefully sucking the fat cells out, the fat is liquified and vaporized with the laser. The laser fiber is only 300-600 microns and it is passed through a 1 mm cannula. Because of the small size, the incision is smaller and does not require stitches.  The incision is the same size as a small needle to draw blood.

What is the cost of facial SmartLipo?

The cost of SmartLipo is the same as normal liposuction, and dependent on the number of areas involved. It starts at about $3,000 to $4,000 for one area. Additional areas are about $2,000.

Where is facial SmartLipo performed?

Laser assisted facial liposculpture (Laserlipolysis) is performed in a special surgical suite at the office or in the hospital in the same-day surgery center.

How long does facial SmartLipo take?

Time required may vary from one procedure to another, depending on the amount of fat to extract.

On average, it takes about 45 – 60 minutes per area. It is performed on an outpatient basis (same-day surgery)

What are the advantages of facial SmartLipo?

With laser lipolysis, the cannula is much smaller, so it is much less traumatic to the tissues and body. The blood vessels are cauterized in this process resulting in significantly decreased bruising and swelling.  Since this procedure can be performed on smaller areas without traditional anesthesia, patients experience minimal pain, shorter downtime, and they are able to return to work sooner.
